Thwop

Terms of Service

Thwop is made by Pellucid Games LLC (“we”). By playing or making puzzles on Thwop, you agree to these terms of service. Our Privacy page explains what we store. If you’re under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use Thwop.

Your puzzles

The clues you write and the name you give are yours. By submitting them, you give us permission to store, show, copy and share them, and to adapt them (for example, into link preview images), so that Thwop can work and so we can show off Thwop. This permission is worldwide and free, and we can let others help us with it (like our hosting provider). It ends when you delete your data, except for copies already shared (such as link previews other apps have saved), promotional material we’ve already made, and copies in backups that we clear over time.

You promise that you have the right to post what you submit, and that it follows the rules below.

Rules

Don’t use Thwop to:

We may remove any puzzle or name, and block any player, at our discretion and without notice.

Thwop itself

The Thwop game, name, design, code and word list belong to us. Some parts come from others and are used under their licenses; see About.

No guarantees

Thwop is free and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may change or stop it at any time. Because Thwop has no accounts, clearing your browser data can lose your puzzles, and we can’t get them back.

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential damages from using Thwop, and our total liability to you is limited to $5.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any dispute about them or about Thwop will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the following date changes too. Continuing to use Thwop after a change means you accept the new terms.
